Rental Terms and Conditions

1. RENTAL ITEM(S)

  • The Owner agrees to rent the following item(s) to the Renter. Items will be detailed as per the Booking confirmation. 
  • The Renter can make a booking order online through our website or via directed communication on Instagram. 
  • The date selected by the Renter during booking is the date they wish to have the rental item in their possession. Sala Studio Hire will dispatch the item beforehand to ensure timely delivery. Renters must select their rental date accordingly, allowing for sufficient shipping time.

2. PAYMENT TERMS

The Renter agrees to pay the full rental fee upon booking confirmation. Payment must be made via approved payment methods; including Bank Transfer, Card, Zip, Afterpay or Klarna. Failure to complete payment will result in automatic cancellation of the booking.

3. SECURITY DEPOSIT

A security deposit applies to rental items with an RRP over $1,000 and must be paid before the rental period begins. Deposits are refunded within 3 business days after the item is returned in its original condition, minus any deductions for damages, theft, or late fees.

4. RENTAL PERIOD

  • The rental period begins on the date stated in the booking confirmation and ends on the return date.
  • Standard Rental Periods are 4 or 8 days, with pick-up or delivery on the first day and return on the final day. 
  • Bookings made within 2 days of the rental start date are subject to availability. Sala Studio Hire is not responsible for postal delays, and no refunds or credits will be issued in such cases.

5. RETURNS

  • Items must be mailed/returned on or before the Return Date.
  • Late returns will incur a daily late fee of 25% of the rental price.
  • Items not returned within 4 days of the return date will be deemed non-returned. The Renter will be charged 100% of the Recommended Retail Price (RRP), in addition to any applicable late fees.
  • For postal returns, the Renter must use the provided return label and notify Sala Studio Hire of tracking details if using their own method.

6. SHIPPING & DELIVERY

  • Express Post via Australia Post is used for deliveries, with tracking available.
  • For bookings made within 2days of the rental start date; Orders placed before 1 pm AEST will be dispatched the same day; after this, the order will be dispatched the next business day.
  • Once dispatched, Sala Studio Hire is not liable for any delivery delays caused by postal services. The Renter is responsible for selecting a rental period that allows for sufficient delivery time.
  • Items must be returned using the provided Australian Post return label.

7. ITEM CONDITION AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • All items are cleaned and inspected before each rental.
  • Items are maintained in excellent condition, though minor imperfections from previous use may be present. 
  • The Renter acknowledges that the item(s) are provided in good condition.
  • The Renter is responsible for the care and security of the item(s) during the rental period.
  • Any damages, stains, or loss of items will result in additional charges, up to the full replacement cost.
  • The Owner reserves the right to withhold the security deposit if applicable or charge additional fees for damage assessment.

8. CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

  • All bookings are final and non-refundable.
  • Once a booking is confirmed and payment is made, cancellations are not eligible for a refund or store credit, regardless of the reason.
  • Renter acknowledges that Sala Studio Hire reserves the item for the duration of the rental period, preventing other potential hires.
  • Refunds are not provided for change of mind or incorrect sizing

9. LIABILITY WAIVER

The Sala Studio Hire is not responsible for any injury, allergic reaction, or other issues resulting from the use of the rented item(s). The Renter agrees to use the item(s) at their own risk.

10. DAMAGE & LOSS POLICY

  • The Renter is responsible for any damages, stains, or loss of items.
  • Sala Studio Hire understands that accidents happen, so we will cover repair costs up to $100. If the repair exceeds this amount, the Renter will be responsible for the remaining costs.
  • Major damages or loss will result in additional charges up to the full Recommended Retail Price (RRP).
  • If an item is lost or stolen, the Renter is responsible for the full replacement cost.
  • All charges will be processed using the payment details provided at booking.

11. PRIVACY POLICY

  • Personal information collected will be securely stored and used only for rental transactions.
  • Sala Studio Hire does not share personal data with third parties without consent.

12. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall be settled in the courts of Queensland.

13. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By making a booking and completing payment, the Renter acknowledges and agrees to all terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement.

This Agreement is binding for all rentals made through Sala Studio Hire, whether physically signed or electronically agreed upon during booking.
